Modern Dwellings was founded by Todd Erenstein in 2010 with a vision to build the best, most livable, and most beautiful homes in New Mexico. Every Modern Dwelling is built to be of the highest quality with attention to detail second to none.
Modern Dwellings is not your typical contractor. With education and commercial business experience, we intelligently work with our customers to meet every need and expectation. Modern Dwellings promises the best new home building experience available.
Todd holds a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurial Studies, an MBA in International Management from the Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, and Project Management Professional Certification through the Project Management Institute.

Modern Dwellings utilizes the resources available to us here in the desert southwest and combines them to create a continuity of design, materials, and workmanship unlike other builders.
Let's be frank. All builders in New Mexico have access to the same building materials. PROJECT SARATOGA
Project Saratoga is a stunning Southwestern contemporary which combines clean lines with elements of wood, steel, and stone, creating a uniquely modern warmth. Large windows and corner glass let in abundant light and capture picturesque views of the Sandia Mountains. This home features exposed aggregate concrete floors, horizontal-grain walnut cabinetry, and custom steel.
PROJECT SARATOGA II
Our latest project is another extraordinary contemporary home full of bright sunlight, commercial storefront glass, and large format tile floors. With unobstructed views of the Sandia Mountains, this home is all about the view. Designed to bring the outside in, and make you one with nature.
PROJECT NEZ PERCE
Project Nez Perce, built in 2008, represents the fusion of modern architecture with southwestern pueblo design elements. The tower houses an atrium with a 20 foot ceiling, slate flooring, and accessories to keep plants happy and healthy. The dining area is flanked by enormous 12 foot x 8 foot Eagle windows to bring the outside in.
